Good morning class,

As you can see from the amazingly beautiful (or horrific if you’re Tom) photo above, this is my pink lipstick collection.

I thought that because the 50 Shades of Grey movie was so good, and I love a good play on words, and I have about a billion pink lipsticks, that I would do a wee post about them!

There’s going to be minimal talking – if you get me talking about each and every lipstick i’ll be here all day! – but if you want to know about a certain lipstick or a certain brand then let me know in the comments and I’ll get back to you ASAP or I can do another blog post about it! Mmkay?

Right. Let’s do this. Just a wee disclaimer – this was collected over a period of like my entire life (although there are a few missing which are at school, and there are some which I’ve lost/thrown out/given away) so I’m not trying to brag or anything and these were pretty much all bought with my own money etc etc.

This took like HOURS to do, so I really apologize that one picture isn’t named right (I will correct this as we go along) and I have split the lipsticks into different shades of pink, but some of the colours would’ve probably been better suited to a different group. So if some are a little out of place, deal with it. 😉

Baby shades 

I absolutely LOVE baby pink colours! Although I’m shying away from them now that I’m a little bit more (fake) tanned because they really wash me out. Some of these shades are absolutely gorgeous though! I will forever love baby pinks ❤

• Mac – Saint Germain (my first ever MAC lipstick!!)
• Barry M #100 (I feel like this is too light for any human being)
• NYX Round Lipstick – Narcissus (my first EVER lipstick!)
• Tarte Lip Insurgence (name has rubbed off!)
• Lime Crime – Great Pink Planet
• Models OwnMatt Hyper Bright – Hot Pink (Definitely not a hot pink, and not my fave lipstick – SUPER drying)
• Barry M #155
• Chi Chi Creamy Matte Lipcream – Socialite
• Australis Velourlips – LUN-DUN
• Too Faced Melted – Melted Peony

Berry shades

I do like Berry shades – but I find myself reaching for them less compared to everything else. I don’t know what it is about darker shades. I think I’m scared of them. I don’t know why. I need to wear these more often.

• Mac Sheen Supreme – Pheromonal (quite shiny and doesn’t have much pigmentation on my lips)
• Mac – Impassioned (second ever Mac lipstick!)
• Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil – Grapevine
• Carousel Cosmetics – That’s What She Said (www.beautybliss.co.nz ‘s own brand of lipstick!)
• Lime Crime – Centrifuchsia
• Bite Beauty – Vigne
• Lime Crime Velvetines – Pink Velvet (quite a dark pink on my lips so I don’t wear it too often!)

 

Nude shades

Okay, these aren’t really nudes! But they’re lighter pink shades that aren’t baby pinks if you get my drift! I LOVE these types of shades even though I suck at describing them. They’re super wearable for everyday and they look fab with most makeup looks! These are some of my most-worn lippies!

• Australis Velourlips – HO-CHEE-MIN (not really a nude, probably more of a coral?)
• Mellow Cosmetics – Passion
• Mac Cosmetics – Snob (one of my fave Mac shades! So wearable!)
• L’oreal – Spring Rosette (SUPER wearable! It feels so nice on the lips as well! Love this shade!)
• Colourpop Cosmetics Lippie Stix & Lippie Pencil – Pony
• Sleek Matte Me – Petal (I LOVE these lipsticks – awesome formula)

 

Coral shades

Coral’s aren’t really my thing. I do definitely get some wear out of these shades but they’re definitely not my go-to. I don’t think I pull off coral shades very well and a few of these are lip glosses which I’m not a huge fan of either. I need to give lip glosses a chance though! These are the only two I own… watch this space!

• Too Faced Lip Injection – Coral Pop (these are crazy! Not super pigmented but they make your lips tingle! I kinda like it)
• NYX Butter Gloss – Apple Strudel (not a huge fan of lip gloss, but this one’s okay)
• Lancome Gloss In Love – #302
• Maybelline Colour Sensational Vivids – Shocking Coral
• Revlon Lasting Finish Lipstick – Indulgence
• Lime Crime – Geranium (not my colour at all – really doesn’t suit me!)

 

Bright shades #1

These are my MOST worn shades and my #1 true loves. I am OBSESSED with bright pinks! My whole collection would be bright pinks if I didn’t think most of these colours looked exactly the same. Tom hates it when I buy bright pinks because I have so many but I think they’re perfect as a statement lip and I think I suit these shades the best!

• Australis Velourlips – MA-LI-BOO (my favourite Velourlips hands down! I ALWAYS get compliments on this one!)
• YSL Rouge Pur Couture #49 (my most expensive lipstick – I paid full price for this in NZ! But isn’t it so beautiful? Fab formula!)
• Colourpop Lippie Stix & Lippie Pencil – Wifey (GORGEOUS shade! A hint of purple)
• Mac – Candy Yum-Yum
• Models Own – Annalise’s Pink (again, really really REALLY drying!)

 

Bright shades #2

These are the not-so-bright bright shades. But they’re still super bright. I just knew that I couldn’t fit all the swatches on one arm so I split them up! I still love these ones just as much I promise!!

• Mellow Cosmetics – Candy Floss (LOVE these lipsticks! Gorgeous formula and long-wearing)
• Barry M – #146
• YSL Rouge Pur Couture – #27 (my first YSL lipstick and I loved it – although it got melted in the post a little bit)
• Lime Crime – Countessa Fluorescent
• Mac – Viva Glam Miley
• Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick – Anarchy (one of my all-time faves! Such a great formula on this one!)

 

 

And that’s it folks! As I said there are a FEW missing but it’s safe to say I have an obsession with pink lipstick!
