Good morning class,
Today I’m back to being a ‘serial raver’ after I talked in my previous post about the ‘Products I would not repurchase’ and I wanted to take it a step further in a positive way and talk about the products I LOVE SO MUCH that I literally have or need back-ups.
I am the type of person (and I’ve said this before) that literally feels anxious when I don’t have a back-up of a favourite product. My boyfriend would totally scoff at that but it’s definitely true! Does anyone else feel this way!?
Guys, honestly, if you do ANYTHING after reading my blog – it needs to be buying this eyeliner. I’ve tried heaps and heaps of eyeliner pens, liquid eyeliner etc and this one is by far the best that I’ve tried considering all factors including availability and price. This is the Za Liquid Eyeliner in black. It is sold for around $20 in NZ, but you can often find Za products on sale at Life Pharmacy – so keep an eye out. It’s also really easy to come by in NZ, found most commonly in Unichem and Life Pharmacies. You can also buy it online from Makeup Direct.
It makes doing a wing a piece of cake. I ALWAYS sleep in (when I say sleep in, I mean get up at 6:45 rather than 6:00. So, not really a sleep in) and I’m always in a rush in the mornings for school. So I don’t have a chance to spend a lot of time on my makeup. This eyeliner is quick and easy to use and doesn’t transfer or smudge, and it’s nice and black. I could do with a lifetime supply of back-ups of this product to be honest! At the moment I don’t even have one – so I need to go out and buy a couple myself!
I honestly cannot fault it. I’m sure there could be other eyeliners on the market which are equally as good, or better. However all things considered, this one is pretty fabulous and it’s my favourite! ♥
The NARS Bronzer in Laguna is amazeballs for most skin colours and I LOVE it! As you can see I already have a back up of this one. It’s just a gorgeous product. You get a HUGE amount in the pan. The packaging is sleek and simplistic which I love. It blends out really nicely and suits my skin type well as an all around face bronzer. I know other fair skinned ladies who also love this one, and medium to dark skin tones who lust after it as well.
It just gives me ‘dat glow’ and looks natural and subtle. It’s not too pigmented, but you can build up the colour easily. Ahhhh just looking at it makes me excited. I adore NARS products.
If you don’t have a holy grail bronzer then I’d suggest the investment. You can buy this product from Mecca Cosmetica in NZ for $62. I think it’s a little cheaper in Australia and heaps cheaper in the US. However it’s well worth the money! I will always keep a back-up of this product in my collection.
Stila Kitten Duo is another one of those products that I ALREADY have a back-up of. However my original one is nearly finished so I’ve been putting another back-up in my Beauty Bay cart every week and will continue to do so until I have money to buy it.
Kitten is just the most wonderful highlighter in the entire world. I have two all-time highlighter faves in my life and Kitten is one of them (the other one will be featured below). Kitten is the PERFECT light pinky shimmery pigmented highlight. I ALWAYS ALWAYS get compliments when I wear Kitten. In fact, at school the other day, a wee girl of 5 in another class told me three days in a row “Miss White, your skin is so beautiful”. A compliment which could be creepy if it didn’t come from a 5 year old girl. I owe that to Kitten.
The bronze shade doesn’t get as much wear as the lighter shade, however it’s also perfection. I can’t say enough great things about this product – it’s honestly just a must-have. The best thing is it’s not super duper expensive! You can buy this baby off Beauty Bay for $28AUS (with 10% off at the moment too I think!)
Alleluia! Alleluia! This is sent from the angels themselves. Surely, surely you’ve heard of theBalm’s Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter. If not, then you are living under a rock. It shares first place in my top highlighters list along with Stila Kitten. This was also my first highlighter ever so it also shares a special place in my heart.
I already have a back-up of this one too, but alas! My old one is basically run out so I NEED another back-up asap. I couldn’t live without this product.
It’s the perfect champagne, shimmer bomb, metallic, beautiful, exquisite, amazing highlighter ever. You can use it both wet and dry and using it wet makes it look like that JLo-glow. Another must-have.
You can buy it from Makeup.co.nz for $34 NZ which is where I’ll be buying mine from!
This is the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub. It is fabulous. It’s delicious. (I don’t know if you’re supposed to eat it but I totally do! – It’s made of sugar after all). It gets rid of all the dry skin on my lips and moisturizes them too. $12.50 from Lush. Worth every cent. Even though it’s small it lasts for forever – I got this one for Christmas!
I don’t have a back-up of this one yet and I’m scared to wind it up and see how much I’ve got left because I use it all the time!! I’ve talked about this before but it’s the Chi Chi Lip Liner in Totally Nude! Excuse the average picture but I attempted to take the sticker off and it looked much worse so I kept it on.
This lip liner is beautiful. It’s the perfect nude and it works with all of my nude lipsticks. It lasts for ages, it is creamy and easy to apply. It doesn’t drag around the lip line. They’re around $12-14 from the Chi Chi stand at Farmers or you can buy online here
C’mon, surely you could’ve predicted that this would come up. If you have read my blog for a while, you’ll know that the only powder I use is the Australis Fresh & Flawless powder in Natural. I have more than 3 back-ups of this but I didn’t want to photograph all of them. I’ve got at least 6 altogether. I get REALLY nervous when I don’t have a back-up of this Godsend, because I honestly don’t know what i’d do if I ran out.
This is the best powder I’ve ever used and it’s totally affordable. You can read a full review I did about it here and you can buy it for around $18 at Kmart and Farmers. If you’re in Australia you can buy it for $10! What a bargain! They also just brought out three new shades! A lighter one, and two more in the middle tone range. I have the lighter one on the way so will probably mention it on the blog at some point if you’re interested?
Lastly, if you know my obsessed with Colourpop then you’d also predict that I’d be mentioning them. These are two of my faves and I decided these would be the first products I’d get back-up’s for from Colourpop.
On the left there is the highlighter in Monster – It’s come off quite peachy in the picture but it’s actually a gorgeous duo-chrome pink/silvery highlighter. I love it because it’s totally different to anything I’ve got in my collection and I always get comments when I wear it. It’s super different and very pretty! On the right we have Bites which is a pure white, matte eye shadow. I love this one and get so much use of it because it’s so versatile! It’s a perfect base to make other colours POP and the formula is long-lasting.
And we are finished! Phew! That was a lot of raving! I hope you are inspired to go out and buy all of these lovely things because I am sure you’ll love them as much as I do! If you have any of these products – let me know what YOU think! Also I’d love to hear the products you have back-ups of (or need a back-up of) because they might be added to my list next time!
I love NARS laguna as well…definitely a keeper! I’ve been wanting to try the bubblegum scrub for a while now…may have to get that one soon!

I absolutely love the ZA eyeliner. It’s the best one I’ve tried so far and it has made me put eyeliner on a lot more nowadays. I got it in my Beauty Review Beauty Box and I’m sure once it runs out I’ll have to buy one. It’s so good!

Yes! It’s honestly my favourite eyeliner ever! I can’t believe how perfect it is and how cheap it is! Why is it not sold out? Haha

This really made me think about it and the only things I tend to regularly keep back ups of are mascara (the falsies) and my revlon colourstay. The rest im happy just to buy when it’s nearly run out.

That’s good!! You’re better than me! I honestly get anxious about it haha but I feel you on the mascara front! Luckily at the moment I have about 6 mascaras unopened to try so that’s not the case for me at the moment – but I LOVE The Falsies too!

I love my Mary Lou Manizer! I have had mine for a really long time and still haven’t hit pan yet luckily. I will be repurchasing though whenever the time comes. I also really want to try that lip scrub! I’ve seen other bloggers rave about it as well! Great post! 🙂 xo

Really have to try that Nars Bronzer. The Mary-Lou highlighter has been in my sights for some time but I have kept putting off buying it online as I want to see it on my skin first. But I feel like it would be amazing. You’ve got my fingers ready to go to the balm’s website and buy it!
I love my Lush lip scrub and half of it left!! I’ve got the Mint Julips one and I love it! Also loving Australis products because they are cruelty free and really affordable! Have just bought their liquid foundation so will definitely be keen to try the powder too! xo
