Haul | Someone Help Me, I Can’t Stop Buying Makeup! ♥

Makeup haul review Urban Decay Stila Anastasia

Good morning class,

It is true. My savings account hates me, my boyfriend hates me, my mind is telling me no, but my body is telling me yes. House prices are going up, up, up and all I want to do is shop, shop, shop!

Here’s another (of many) makeup haul post. I really hope you guys like reading about these (please tell me if you don’t!) because I enjoy reading/watching them so that’s why I keep doing them! I think it’s my curious side coming through, I love to see what other people buy!

This haul contains bits and bobs from all over the show. I didn’t go crazy in one place, I sort of just saw various sales and deals and needed to replenish some nearly-finished items, and here we are.

iHerb

Seriously, if you haven’t shopped on iHerb yet, then there’s something wrong. They’re an American site full of natural products ranging from supplements and food items, to cosmetics and skincare. The site is overwhelming at first, but it’s honestly amazing! (Hint: check out the food, there’s some delicious healthy snacks on there!).

iHerb ships all over the world and has super cheap and super fast shipping. To New Zealand you can get tracked UPS shipping which starts at $4 (goes by weight) and it takes around a week and a half, or you can get DHL shipping which takes 3-5 days (in my experience) and prices start from around $8. Also if you spend over $40 – your shipping gets discounted!

I have an awesome discount code for new iHerb customers which gets you $10 off if you spend over $40, otherwise it’s $5 off for orders under $40! The code is KPN384 – definitely check it out if you want some healthy snacks, protein powder, supplements, natural makeup, e.l.f. cosmetics, Real Techniques brushes, etc.

Enough about the website, let’s see what I picked up! (And no, I wasn’t paid to promote iHerb, I just genuinely love the website – although I do receive a small amount of credit if you use my discount code) 🙂

Real Techniques e.l.f. cosmetics makeup brushes

From iHerb I picked up the Real Techniques Sculpting Set which was around $30 NZ which is pretty decent for 3 amazing brushes. The set contains a Setting Brush – which I already own and love! A Fan Brush – which I’ve been loving for a subtle highlighted look! And a Sculpting Brush – which was what I mainly bought the set for and so far, it hasn’t disappointed! It does look a bit big for contouring, but I’ve actually been using it for contouring and it’s been really good! Personally, I love it! The Real Techniques brush brand is such high quality but affordable, I’d 10000% recommend them to anyone starting out, or anyone who has one of those awful flat foundation brushes. Your life will be changed. I’d recommend pretty much all of the brushes from the brand, as I own heaps of them and have never been disappointed!

I also picked up two e.l.f. Cosmetics Studio Brushes –  the Small Angled Brush and the Contour Brush. I bought the Small Angled Brush to use for my brows and it hasn’t disappointed! It’s a little bit floppy though, so I feel like I could find something more specific for brows, however it’s good for the mean time and it will have other uses. I thought the Contour Brush would be interesting for eye shadow – I haven’t used it yet but it’s silky smooth and the packaging is so sleek and expensive looking. I’m excited to try it. These brushes were aabout $4 NZ each! Bargain!

I also picked up the Madre Labs Hand Cream with Argan Oil because it was literally about 15 cents NZ. (Hint: if you click the tab at the very top of the site called Trials it give you a whole lot of products that are insanely cheap at a trial price. There’s also a section called Specials which is equally as exciting).

Beauty Bay

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray review

From Beauty Bay I picked up the Urban Decay ‘All Nighter’ Setting Spray which is a repurchase. I already own this, and I absolutely love it! It is pricey at around $50 NZ, but when the exchange rate gets a bit better, you could probably pick it up for $40. I love this setting spray so much, out of all the various setting spray’s I’ve tried – this is the only one that works. It’s perfect for my oily skin and I don’t know how, but it honestly makes my makeup last longer! My previous bottle of this magic-in-a-bottle lasted nearly a year. A+ would trade again. Go buy it.

ASOS

Stila Kitten review

ASOS is one of my all-time favourite shopping websites. It’s got it all, women’s clothes (for me), cosmetics (for me), men’s clothes (for the boyf), gifts, bags, accessories, shows, socks. You name it, I’ve probably bought it. I buy most of my Christmas gifts from ASOS. The shipping is also really great, it’s $7 to NZ or free with orders over $40. They have equally as brilliant shipping deals for the rest of the world too!

I got my order up to $40 with some things for mum, but this beauty is what I purchased for myself. It worked out to be the cheapest place to buy Stila Kitten from, and I really really needed another back up! You guys know that the Stila All Over Shimmer Powder in Kitten is one of my favourite highlighters! I get nervous when I don’t have a back up!

Gerard Cosmetics

Gerard Cosmetics Serenity Manny MUA Swatch Gerard Cosmetics Serenity Manny MUA

I picked up the Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Serenity which is the collaboration with Manny MUA on YouTube. The colour is not quite as pink as I’d liked – a little more on the orange/terracotta side – and the formula is not as dry as I’d have preferred so I’m not convinced with this one yet. I’ll just have to keep trying it out and see how we go. I think I got 45% off and free shipping with this and it cost around $16 NZ altogether.

Laura Loves Beauty Blog

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow #browsonfleek

The last thing I picked up was this Anastasia Beverly Hills Perfect Brow Pencil. I bought this from my friend Laura who picked up the wrong colour! However, she also has an amazing blog so I thought I’d give her a plug. I am loving this pencil, it’s as pigmented as a sharpie – in a good way. But you have to be careful with your application. (I made that mistake the hard way…) I am loving this so far, and it happens to be my first ever product by Anastasia. So far, so good! I NEED to try Dip Brow though.

So here’s my wee haul! I hope you enjoyed it. What have you bought recently that you’re loving? I told you I love reading about what others buy too! Let me know in the comments section down below. ❤

  1. You have got some lovely products out there….I liked the serenity lip shade…I recently hauled gerard cosmetics and Charlotte Tilburry along with too faced and lorac..Don’t worry about shopping …I usually shop a lot and thn go on a strict shopping ban for few months to compensate… try doing it…Prepare a list of things that you bought , maintain it in a excel and see it on a monthly basis and during the shopping ban- you would be amazed how things go equalised 🙂 At least I find them useful… Iherb site is really good…RT brushes are in my list too..Waiting for your review on that UD setting spray and serenity

I love that iherb handcream so much, i’m using a different one at the moment and I’m like ugh I really should order a new one cos it’s not as good! My last iherb order was vitamins, boring but useful.
