Good morning class,
Don’t you just love Secret Santa’s? I do! It’s probably one of my favourite things to do during the lead-up to Christmas time. I just love buying cute wee presents for someone and making them smile. I like secretly stalking them to find out what they love. I like overspending (I always overspend) and making them that much happier. I just love gift giving!
I participated in a Secret Santa-type project run by an amazing bloggers group on Facebook called Instabeautyau. Basically, we were paired up with someone else (also a blogger or beauty Instagrammer) who was living in a similar area to us as there are both Australians and New Zealanders on the page. This Secret Santa wasn’t quite so secret, as we both knew who we were and had to sort out the gift giving between us.
I was lucky enough to get a beautiful girl (Analesha) who runs a gorgeous blog called Lipstick & Bubbles. Well, I love both Lipsticks & Bubbles so it was a match made in heaven!
Anyway I am going to haul you what she purchased me for the Secret Santa (yes, I’ve already opened it, I could NOT help myself!). We had a minimum of $20 and maximum of $30 (including postage) which was specified by the Instabeautyau group. Analesha definitely went over – you little minx! But she got me some gorgeous gifts – and all things that I haven’t tried out before 🙂
Lush Bath Bomb in Butterbear
I feel like you guys don’t quite know the extent of my obsession for Lush at the moment. But basically I’ve been having at least one bath a week with a different bath bomb for the past two months… and would you believe it – I haven’t tried this one yet! Such a great choice Analesha, I’m so excited to try this one! I actually bought one of these for my partner as a little pamper pack for his birthday, however he hasn’t used it yet. It smells divine and I’m excited for the way it’s supposed to moisturize your skin! I’m itching to get into the bath now – but he looks so cute I don’t want to ruin him!
L.A. Girl Velvet Hi-Lite Contour Stick in Cashmere
I’ve seen these sticks around and they look gorgeous! I love highlighters but I don’t have any in stick form… until now! I’ve swatched it and it looks super pretty and subtle. This looks like it will be perfect for one of those ‘natural’ look that still seems to use about 30 different makeup products! I love L.A. Girl products so I think this one will be great! 🙂
theBalm Hot Mama! Blush
Oooh baby. If there was one thing I’d buy from theBalm next, this was going to be it! However now I’ve already got it! Yay! Thank you Analesha – how did you know? This is such a beautiful blush and reminds me of a lighter version of NARS Orgasm. I don’t really have any nude coloured blushes so I am beyond excited to try this one out! I love that it doubles as an eye shadow as well 🙂 Fantastic choice girl – you can do no wrong!
Snail Essence Hydrating Mask
This one both intrigues me and sort of freaks me out. I literally HATE bugs. However, every Korean makeup brand seems to have some snail-related product out there so I feel like those snails must be doing something right and maybe I do need their juices all over my face. I don’t think this is literally made of snail juices (although I can’t read much on the packaging), and it actually looks pretty good. I like that it’s a sheet mask because then I don’t have to worry about rinsing it off! I’ll let you guys know over on my Facebook page how this one goes!
Overall, Analesha thank you so much for the gifts! You’ve done such an amazing job at choosing and I can’t wait to try them all out. I really hope you like what I got you too!
Have you done a Secret Santa this year? What did you give/receive? I’d love to hear about it! Hopefully no-one has any horror stories 😉
