Good morning class,
I do realize I’m horrifically late for the party on this one but I thought I’d better do an obligatory 2015 favourites post because, well I have lots of faves and it’s sort of nice to round off the year like that (even though it’s February…)
I’ve decided to focus on makeup items because once I started delving into the skincare I wanted to do bath and body and then hair care and it just never ends! So I am just sticking with makeup today 😀
Some of these products you would have definitely heard me talk about. I tried to think of things that I used most often and replaced quickly when I ran out, and got really excited when I thought of using them as a way to choose these favourites – but trust me, it was REALLY HARD! (I actually have more than 15 things to tell you about too… but I’m sure you’ll forgive me!)
#1. LÓreal Brow Artist Plumper
Literally the best brow mascara-type product I own. It’s raved about by everyone and for good measure. Cheap, fills in the brows nicely and adds volume but keeps them locked in place. The brush is a perfect size and it lasts forever.
2. Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade
Again, everyone raves about this. I haven’t had it for so long but it’s actually changed my brow game forever so I have to mention it. It’s so easy to use, easy to blend and it defines my brows so perfectly. A must-have.
3, 4, 5. Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks in ‘Trap’ and ‘Koala’ + the Colourpop Lippie Pencil in ‘Tootsie’.
These are my ultimate favourite lip colours and lip products. I love the Colourpop Ultra Matte formula so much (as you already know). Trap and Koala are definitely my most worn shades and the Tootsie pencil is a perfect accompaniment to Trap or worn alone when I’m in a rush.
6. Australis Fresh and Flawless Powder
Enough said. You KNOW I love this stuff by now, surely. Read
7. Too Faced Love Flush 24-Hour Blush in ‘Justify My Love’, ‘Your Love Is King’ and ‘Love Hangover’.
I don’t think I’ve had the chance to go in-depth and tell you about these fantastic blushes, so I’ll save that for another blog post. However these are my favourite blushes of the year and I just can’t stop reaching for them!
8. Tarte Tartelette Eye Shadow Palette
Again, enough said. I mean it’s signed by Samantha from Batalash! It’s also just a darn good palette. By far my favourite of the year. Read more here
9. Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation
There’s a post on the way about this amazing stuff. It’s been my number one favourite foundation for the past two years and I don’t see that changing any time soon. If you want to find out more about it, then stay tuned!
10. Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette
This is another thing I got near the end of the year but it instantly jumped to the absolute top of my list. It holds the most amazing highlight shade I have ever used and the pigmentation is incredible.
11. LA Girl Pro Conceal in ‘Vanilla’
I looooove this stuff! I found it tricky to decide which concealer was my yearly favourite because I keep rotating through three. However I think in terms of price and shade this one is the best. Keep posted for ANOTHER blog post coming soon on these concealers!
12. NYX Blush in ‘Taupe’
This is my contouring JAM! Thanks to Arna Alayne I don’t really use anything else for contouring. This is perfect for anyone who has fair skin and even fair to medium skin. Arna mentioned this years ago and I’ve never used anything else from then on. It gives you the perfect shadow-look.
13. NARS Laguna Bronzer
Definitely my favourite bronzer. I love the brand NARS – everything I’ve tried of theirs is awesome and this bronzer is no exception. It’s pricey but it’s also huge. It’s such a nice, natural shade and doesn’t look too orange. It is the perfect match for NYX Taupe to bronze up the rest of your face.
14. Too Faced ‘Better Than Sex’ Mascara
If you’ve been reading me for a while now then you’ll know that this is my jam. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to get my hands on another one for a while which is really sad. But while I was using it I absolutely loved the stuff. I wrote a post on it here.
15. ZA Liquid Eyeliner Pen
How could I forget this trusty pal! I use this on the daily. It’s ridiculously easy to use and it never seems to run out. I would recommend this 100% to anyone wanting to give liquid eyeliner a go, or anyone who sucks at it (like me).
There you have it folks, my 15 faves for 2015. So sorry it’s late but I hope you enjoyed! What were your favourites? Do any of my faves feature? What have I made you try this year that you love?? Let me know down below!
That Tarte palette is gorgeous! I keep seeing it on blogs and YouTube! I really need to get myself one 😀 great favourites! Xx
