Good morning class,
Yay! Another haul! I know you all love hauls, because I absolutely love them as well. It’s interesting to see what other people buy and then get jealous over it and make a shopping cart ourselves… don’t tell me I’m the only person who does this.
Anyway – make a cart yourself after reading this one because you won’t be jealous! The Colourpop range of Super Shock Eye Shadows, Lippie Stix and Lippie Pencils are only $5 each! $5US! Crazy talk! Plus they have just released some gorgeous blush products which are $8 – and they’re double the size of the eye shadows so sweet deal!
I picked up four Super Shock Eye Shadows and three Lippie Stix. I didn’t get any of the Pencils… but instant regret! I wish I did and they’re already in my cart for my next purchase (which will probably be tomorrow).
Here is what I got. From left to right;
Super Shock Eye shadows; Girly, Pop Rocks, Liberty, Tassle.
Lippie Stix; Brills, Wifey, Cookie.
Can we start with the packaging?! I KNOW every man and his dog and their cat have talked about the packaging but seriously, it looks full on high end. It’s gorgeous. I’m all about that simple life and this packaging is so simple and sleek. I love the white. I love the font and the hint of silver they use for it. I love the Lippie Stix packaging and the way they’re wind up. I love the box it comes in. I love the handwritten note I was given and I love the wee boxes for each product! I can’t help but think that if they didn’t package it so well how cheap would the products be?!
Okay, enough raving. You all know I’m a mad raver by now. The Lippie Stix. I only got three because I was totally overwhelmed by the range of colours and I didn’t know which to choose. I am IN LOVE with my choices though. I picked up Brills which is a bright lavender colour – reminiscent of Airborne Unicorn by Lime Crime and Dodgy Girl by Mac in the Kelly Osborne Collection. (I actually bought it because I thought I’d lost my Dodgy Girl lipstick but I found out literally today it was squashed between the seats in Tom’s car. He had done a man look of course). It’s a Satin finish and it applies like a dream!
Wifey is also a Satin finish. If you know me you know I love hot pink colours. Like I’m seriously obsessed. This is the perfect hot pink! I love it & I love the name!
Cookie is a Matte and it’s a nude/Kylie Jenner/cookie coloured shade. Like it literally does remind me of a cookie. It’s an awesome colour for everyday wear and I love their matte formula! SO nice to wear! I need the liners now… real bad.
The Super Shock Shadows are super weird but super awesome. The pigmentation is insane! At present I’ve only swatched them but I’m hoping to do a Get Ready With Me featuring them in the near future (let me know if you’d be keen to see that). They’re like a creamy consistency but are apparently a powder? We shall see how that goes.
Tassle is a gorgeous super shimmery/glittery white colour! I absolutely love light eyeshadows so this was a must. It looks like it’d be good for highlighting the face as well as on the eye. It’s not a super opaque pigmentation but it’s a gorgeous sheer shimmery/glittery shade which looks like it could be built up. I am in love.
Pop Rocks is a shade I picked up purely because it looks cool. But also I don’t have many bright colours in my collection so I thought I’d better start somewhere. It’s marbled with purple, pink, blue and absolutely PACKED with glitter. Like it’s crazy glittery. It’s hard to determine which colour it is because it comes up different each swatch depending on which colours you are picking up. It’s amazing.
Girly was one I bought because I am the epitome of a girly girl (most of the time). It’s less glittery than the others and I’m not sure about how it will look on the lid. However the reviews were great so I’m excited to try it! It’s a champagne-white-cream colour and it’s sort of metallic/pearl.
Liberty is another one of my favourite colours. I love silver eye shadows. I have like a million of them but I love the way they look with my eyes. I’m not sure if you’re supposed to use silver shadows with blue eyes but personally, I love it. It’s suuuuper metallic and the most pigmented of the bunch. A tiny bit goes a long way. It would really make your eyes pop! I can’t wait to use this one – it will probably be the first I use!
Okay, that is it for my Colourpop haul sadly, however I’ve filled up my cart already so I’m sure there will be another one very soon! Have you tried Colourpop yet? If not I suggest you do! All of the things my friend and I got came to $20 shipping which was only $10 each so not bad for NZ! I know shipping is free in the US if you spend over $30 (which isn’t hard). Shipping wasn’t too bad, took around 2 weeks. Go and have a browse here.
Let me know what you think! Have you tried Colourpop yet? What else should I buy!!
