50 Shades of PINK! (My Lipstick Collection & Swatches – Pink Shades) ♥

50 Shades of Pink Grey Lipstick collection pinks

 

Good morning class,

As you can see from the amazingly beautiful (or horrific if you’re Tom) photo above, this is my pink lipstick collection.

I thought that because the 50 Shades of Grey movie was so good, and I love a good play on words, and I have about a billion pink lipsticks, that I would do a wee post about them!

There’s going to be minimal talking – if you get me talking about each and every lipstick i’ll be here all day! – but if you want to know about a certain lipstick or a certain brand then let me know in the comments and I’ll get back to you ASAP or I can do another blog post about it! Mmkay?

Right. Let’s do this. Just a wee disclaimer – this was collected over a period of like my entire life (although there are a few missing which are at school, and there are some which I’ve lost/thrown out/given away) so I’m not trying to brag or anything and these were pretty much all bought with my own money etc etc.

This took like HOURS to do, so I really apologize that one picture isn’t named right (I will correct this as we go along) and I have split the lipsticks into different shades of pink, but some of the colours would’ve probably been better suited to a different group. So if some are a little out of place, deal with it. 😉

Baby shades 

I absolutely LOVE baby pink colours! Although I’m shying away from them now that I’m a little bit more (fake) tanned because they really wash me out. Some of these shades are absolutely gorgeous though! I will forever love baby pinks ❤

FOTD – Face of the Day – Red lips ♥

Good morning class,

Just a quick post today, but I thought I’d share with you my Face of the Day! Now, I am always completely honest with you all, and this is not necessarily my FOTD today as such, but it was my FOTD once upon a time I promise!

Anyway, today’s makeup features a RED lip which is something I don’t rock that often. I’m not sure why because red is apparently very flattering for my skin tone, but I just don’t reach for my reds! I think because they tend to go everywhere so they’re a bit risky to wear to school.

Anyhow, today is red lip day. And I actually sort of love it.

These are the products I used on this look… I know it looks like A LOT – but honestly I swear it’s not! & you could definitely recreate this same look using way less products but because I have a literal tonne of makeup I like to try and get some use out of it all.

FOTD – Face of the Day ♥

Good afternoon class,

Ooooh how exciting – my first ever FOTD!!  ♥ I’m not super amazing at doing my own makeup but I do enjoy having a bit of a play around now and then. I think the thing I find most difficult about blog posts such as these is the fact that I am not only terrible at taking photos (especially eye makeup ones) but I also have a crappy iPhone 4S (PLEASE help me convince my boyfriend to let me buy the 6 – for the love of God!). So, I apologize in advance that I’m not a beautiful model/makeup artist however some Plain Janes or Average Joes like myself (or anyone really) might be interested all the same.

I’m going to show you a select few selfies that made the cut, as well as some (average) photos of my eye makeup and then tell you all the products I used and in which order. Hopefully it all works out okay, and I’d love any constructive criticism on not only the look but the products I used or the way I took the photos. Lemme have it!

Excuse the messy bedroom but here we have it…. drum roll please… my face of the day! You may think that I’m going out clubbing or to a wedding or a special event… alas, I was just watching Shaaanxo on YouTube and felt like having a play around. The only place I’m going today is most likely the supermarket, and no I wouldn’t recommend this one for school (if you’re a teacher or student) mainly because of the excessively long lashes. Keeping on with the theme of comparisons on my blog currently, I thought I’d chat to you today about my favourite mascaras. Lashes are super important because we use them to flutter at potential suitors, they help us perfect our sarcastic eye roll and personally, I need to compete with some of my students because little boys seem to have the most beautiful thick, long eyelashes (unfair!). I am super picky when it comes to what I’m going to put all over my eye area and especially the concoction I am smothering all over my lashes but these four mascaras have stolen my heart and opened my eyes (literally). Bangin’ bronze buys

Summer, a time for chillin’ out max and relaxin’ all cool and obviously getting our bronze glow on. Apologies in advance… this post is not about fake tan – although that will be coming soon I promise you. It’s about what I like to think of as fake tan’s little sister – the bronzer. Dun.. dun… duuuun. I am hoping that sounded a little ominous because I don’t know about you, but I used to be a little bit scared of bronzer – and for good reason! Bronzer is scary! Especially for us pale-faced babes, a good bronzer can be hard to find. You can end up looking muddy, orange or if you’re lucky – like a muddy, orange disco ball!

In this post I will be sharing with you my go-to bronzers, the ones I grab for on a regular basis. These bronzers work for my pale skin, but they will also look lovely on other skin tones too.
